如题，找了很多华语歌曲，发现不写爱情的很少，今天上班路上还跟边姐讨论这个问题了，我们的题材受限是有原因的，民族唱法真的很……，但没办法，是所谓的中国特色。这首歌收录在Secret Garden的专辑里的，由爱尔兰民谣歌手Brian Kennedy演唱的，后来米国的那个叫Josh Groban的小伙儿翻唱过，貌似那个Westlife的那四条也翻唱过，但始终不如Brian Kennedy的感情真挚。第一次听这首歌是在大学时代，一直是Secret Garden的粉丝，当时第一时间拿到《Once In A Red Moon》，听到这首歌，被打动了，这男人的音色确实很好。看歌词，嗯，是写给谁的？见仁见智吧，想把这首歌送给谁就送给谁吧，因为都有充足的理由吧，我呢，送给家人，呵呵。

《You Raise Me Up》是一首励志和感恩的歌曲，由Brendan Graham （爱尔兰小说家/作词家）作词，Secret Garden的Lovland作曲，已经在世界各地用不同语言录制了125次以上。
《You Raise Me Up》 据说和爱尔兰传统民歌“Danny Boy” 很相似，最早由爱尔兰歌手Brian Kennedy 于2001年在Secret Garden的专辑Once in a Red Moon 中演唱。
这首歌还广泛用于9/11事件的纪念活动中，尽管在这之前这首歌并没有在美国发行过。 2003年末，美国著名歌手Josh Groban的演唱使这首歌在美国十分流行，Josh Groban 也因此获得2005年格莱美奖提名。仅2004年，《You Raise Me Up》就在美国的电台播放了500,000多次，4次获Gospel Music Awards，包括年度最佳歌曲。
